Mirrors
We move through mirrors into limitless imagined worlds. I’ve combined my love of textiles and textures in creating these mirrors. They combine one or more of my tiles with decorative nail heads, paint and textiles. They incorporate upholstery fabrics, weavings found on a trip to Bhutan – one uses a piece of an antique hand sewn African ceremonial robe I came across in a little shop somewhere and another a piece of an antique Turkish weaving.
